FAMILY SUPPORT

Support, Information and Referrals.

Quick Links:

The School’s Family Support Service has been operating over 20 years. Our main catchment area is Acacia Ridge and surrounding areas but also includes suburbs where our students reside.

We are an Indigenous Service but it is inclusive of any person seeking support, information and/or referrals. As an Indigenous service we take a holistic approach with our students and the wider community. We offer support in regards to education, medical/allied health, counselling, housing, Centrelink, youth justice/legal issues/court appearances, Department of Child Safety and advocacy.

The service is located within the Murri School and can be accessed via the Finlayson Street gate. It is wheelchair accessible.

The support offered can be one off, short or long term depending on the needs. Support/Case plans are formulated in consultation with the client. There is no time limit but our service realise that more specialised support may be needed, so appropriate referrals are made. We remain with our client during the transition and maintain contact.
