Indigenous Cybersmart

Long time ago in the dreaming, stories were told the old way -- face to face. These days technology has changed the way Australian Indigenous communities share and tell their stories. This prezi talks about the respect circle: what it is, how it can be used to start a conversation about cybersafety. It provides strategies on how to deal with issues relating to cybersafety and where to go to for help within an Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander context.

Ryan and his mates are clowning around filming themselves doing dumb stuff-they're just having a good time! Everything would have been fine if Ryan didn't then post it all online. It comes back to haunt him because his boss sees it. Ryan didn't think it was a big deal at the time, but once you post it online, anyone can see it. 'Dumb Stuff' focuses on digital footprint and how online business becomes everyone's business if you don't manage your privacy settings. Aimed at Indigenous Australians 14 years and older, 'Dumb Stuff' is designed to help users understand how their online actions can easily have real life consequences.
